In the years 1940-1944, the German occupation authorities, in fear of infectious diseases, allowed limited, strictly controlled anti-epidemic and sanitary activities. Under her cover, underground activities developed, in which the most important were: secret production of a vaccine against typhus for Polish people, secretly delivering it to prisons and concentration camps, and secretly teaching students of the closed Faculty of Medicine at the University of Warsaw.
